U19s Continue 100% Start

Patrick Ryan’s Under 19 squad maintained their 100% record with a 3-0 National League Alliance victory against Corinthian-Casuals FC.

In a frustrating first-half, both sides were able to create clear chances but failed to be clinical in front of goal. The Shots struggled to play their trademark high-tempo football in the opening 45 minutes, and found themselves needlessly giving the ball away.

However, the second-half began bright, with Aldershot Town comfortable on the ball and settling back to their quick penetrative passing. Further chances immediately followed and on 53 minutes Leon Hewitt finished off a slick move which created a crossing opportunity for Jermaine Quintyne.

The Shots continued to dominate, with another fine move ending in David Kayila firing home from 15 yards. The victory – and a second-consecutive clean sheet – was confirmed in the 80th minute when Hewitt turned provider in delivering a beautiful ball into the box for Quintyne to head home from close range.

Five wins from five – scoring 18 goals and conceding just four in the process – represents a fine start to the season for The Shots in Division D.
