Aldershot Town F.C Youth Team is based at Alderwood School in Aldershot. The aim of the Academy is to provide a platform for individuals to become employable and well rounded, and eventually progressing into the Aldershot Town F.C first team squad.
The academy is a categorised as a National League Academy and in the last season have had success in 5 youth team players having squad numbers and been involved in first team games in the 2019/20 season.
The Youth team train 4 times a week, has access to a physiotherapist, trips abroad, fitness based programme, nutritional support and advice.
Players in our under-18 team compete in the National League Academies League, Bostik Youth League, ESFA Super League, Suburban League and the FA Youth Cup.
The Education is delivered by specialist partners Knights Group and based at the excellent facilities at Alderwood School. Taking place over five days a week, the players study for the NCFE Extended Diploma in Sport (equivalent to 3 A-Levels) or a Level 3 Physical Education and School Sport.
In addition, we enhance the students’ individual C.V’s through delivery of FA Level 1 and FA Level 2 Coaching Awards, employability qualifications, GCSE maths and english and work based learning.
We believe in developing strong external links and exit routes for the players; coaching abroad or in the U.K, a playing scholarship in the U.S.A, U.K university or sports based jobs.
