Award-Winning Comedians Grace EBB Lounge

The Shots’ Comedy Club returns on Thursday 22 March with a stellar line-up of internationally-acclaimed, award-winning stand-up comedians.

Headliner is Mike Gunn, star of Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and cited by The Independent as “one of the top ten stand-ups in the country”. Gunn has previously supported Lee Mack, Alan Davies and Jo Brand on national tours and regularly appeared in Al Murray’s Sky One comedy Time Gentlemen Please. A self-confessed pessimist with a wonderfully dry and deadpan delivery, Gunn is a well-established headline act at all of the UK’s major comedy clubs and has performed across the world, from New Zealand and Australia to all over Europe and even entertaining British troops in the Falklands. Watch his appearance on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow here.

He is joined by James Alderson, who was named ‘Best Comedian’ at both the 2014 The Guide Awards and 2015 WOW247 Awards. A regular at some of the best comedy clubs in the UK, James performs across Europe and in America. His Sky Christmas Comedy Show was broadcast last December, and he has also appeared on Sky’s Scared of Santa and Channel 4’s Eye Spy. With an effervescent and exuberant style, James draws on life experiences with hilarious observations and self-deprecating humour which everybody can identify with.

Matt Stellingwerf is one of New Zealands biggest and best comedians and is now making a huge name for himself in the UK. The winner of four NZ Comedy Guild awards, his laid-back, easy-going style and sharp delivery has seen him described as “an intellectual Fonze”!

Compere will again be Andy Stedman, a former internationally-acclaimed singer-songwriter who brings a cheeky charm that makes him the perfect MC. His one-man show Parental Guidance, enjoyed a successful run at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe, and he is resident compere at London’s Piccadilly Comedy Club.

Doors are at 7pm, with the show starting at 8pm. Tickets are £10 – call 01252 320211 to book your seat.
