Sold-Out Sleep Out Tonight

The EBB Stadium tonight hosts the seventh-annual Step by Step Sleep Out to raise even more money for young homeless people.

The family-friendly event, which has raised over £70,000 in seven years, invites people to give up their bed for one night so that young people don’t have to sleep rough for weeks and even years.

The event is again full but donations can be made here.

The charity welcomes community groups, corporate teams, families and individuals to swap their beds for one night and take on the cold, hard floor of the East Bank.

This year, the event is sponsored by HRG in Farnborough, meaning that every penny raised through sponsorship and registration fees will go straight to the accommodation and support services for 11 – 25 year olds that the charity provides.

More than 80 people of all ages took part last year – the youngest being just four years old – and the eighth Sleep Out promises to be the biggest and best yet, with an outdoor cinema screening, live music, a magic show, wood-fired pizzas, face-painting, ice-cream, games, competitions and lots more!

Step by Step passionately believe in supporting local young people aged 11 to 25 who are going through hard times, including homelessness. Through their unique approach, the charity provide accommodation, personal development opportunities, training and specialist support services to empower young people to uncover and fulfil their aspirations.
