We are pleased to announce that, together with the Shots Foundation, we will be running a FREE girls football morning next Saturday before our game vs Tamworth as part of our commitment to increasing opportunities for girls in the local area.
- Saturday 18th October
- 10:00 – 12:00
- Samuel Cody School, Farnborough, GU14 8SN
- Girls aged 5-11
This is a great opportunity for girls who are keen to give football a goal, even if it’s their first time, in a fun and supportive environment. The session will be packed with exciting football activities, fun games, and the chance to meet and play alongside members of our very own Aldershot Town FC Women’s Team.
This special session is designed to encourage more girls to get involved in football, no matter their experience level. Whether you’ve never kicked a ball before or already love playing, it’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy the game, make new friends, and learn from role models in the women’s squad. If this isn’t enough of an incentive already, we will be giving the attending girls two complimentary tickets to come watch the Shots in the afternoon vs Tamworth through the Mike Pusey Community Stand Scheme.
If you would like to book your place, as spaces are limited, please drop an email to glenn.brailey@shotsfoundation.org. Come and give it a go!
Aldershot Town Women’s defender Hollie O’Brien encourages girls to come along, saying: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for girls in our community to get involved in football, make new friends, and enjoy the game in a fun and supportive environment. As a player for Aldershot Women, it’s brilliant to see the next generation inspired to give football a go and discover how rewarding being part of a team can be.”
