The Shots Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Jack McGee to its Development Officer role.
Jack is a recent graduate of Swansea University, gaining a 2:1 in BSc Sports and Exercise Science, he is also expected to gain a PgCert in Computer Science from the University of Bath. Whilst in Swansea, Jack worked for 2 years as a performance analyst at Newport County AFC Academy. He also has experience coaching both football and rugby.
Jack joins the Foundation at a time when it is gearing up for the 2022-23 season and the resumption of its activities.
After being appointed his new role, Jack said:
“I am incredibly grateful to the Foundation Trustees for entrusting me with the role of ‘Foundation Development Officer’.”
“I am extremely excited to continue and develop upon the excellent work previously carried out by Adam Maltby. I am passionate about growing the Foundation’s reach into the Aldershot community and beyond.
“I aspire to place the Foundation in a position to positively impact the lives of everyone within the community whilst exciting and encouraging the next generation of football supporters.”
Shots Foundation Chairman Sir John Casey had the following to say on the appointment:
“I am delighted with Jack’s appointment and welcome him to the Foundation”.
“Jack has a great background in coaching and has previously worked with Newport County whilst attending University in Swansea.
“Jack will lead our successful coaching camps and after school clubs as we seek to work with more local schools and will also lead the Fanzone marquee and Community Ticket Scheme, which regular Shots fans will know that it helps local families and club, societies and organisations enjoy a game at the EBB, in many cases for the first time.
Jack attended the Vets Hub this week too, as he starts to become acquainted with our work in the community”.
