The Shots Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Maltby to its Development Officer role.
Adam is currently working for the Aldershot Town FC Academy and taking on the Foundation role is a natural progression for him.
He joins the Foundation at a time when it is gearing up for the 2021-22 season and the resumption of its activities.
Chair of Trustees Sir John Casey said: “I am delighted with Adam’s appointment and welcome him to the Foundation.
“Adam has a great background in coaching with the Academy, he is well known at the Club and is a perfect fit for us.
“Adam will help expand our coaching camps and activities as we seek to work with more local schools but will also lead the Community Ticket Scheme, which regular Shots fans will know that it helps local families and club, societies and organisations enjoy a game at the EBB, in many cases for the first time.
“Adam will also lead on the new Family Fanzone Marquee which will be available on match days at the EBB”.
Aldershot Town Chairman Shahid Azeem says: “It has taken us a while, Adam has been involved with the academy, has been working there and I have seen all his hard work.
“Everybody has gone through a really difficult time with Covid, lockdowns and everything else so it will be great to get back into our corporate responsibilities and the charity side of things.
“Hopefully the crowds will be coming back in August which get the community back involved. We needed somebody and he will get support from volunteers is obviously from the foundation and Ian Barnet has come back to help him as well which is good. It’s a good time and have high hopes for him.”
Adam Maltby says: “I am extremely excited to get the opportunity to take on the role of ‘Foundation Development Officer’ as part of the Shots Foundation.
“Having worked for Aldershot Town Academy for the last three years, I am motivated to grow the reputation of the club and make sure we have the next generation of fans and players coming through and being a part of Aldershot Town Football Club.”
Congratulations Adam and expect more news to come from our Shots Foundation following this new appointment very soon!
