Club Director, John Leppard, and Club Photographer, Ian Morsman, were honoured by the Aldershot Divisional Football Association with Long Service Awards at their awards ceremony last night.
John has been a Director at the Club since 1997 and is a lifelong Shots fan. A former MD of Charters Peugeot, he has also provided many sponsorships to both Aldershot FC and Aldershot Town over the years. John was acting Chair of the Club during the 2009/10 season after the passing of John McGinty and was part of the Consortium that took the Club out of administration in 2013. John’s service to our Club has been tremendous behind the scenes and we are extremely grateful to the ADFA for recognising this with their Long Service Award.
Ian, or ‘Morsy’ to some, has been our Club Photographer since the reformation of Aldershot Town in 1992 and has been on hand to capture every moment since then. He rarely misses games and travels across the country to make sure him and his camera are available at all times. Ian’s snapped practically every memorable moment over the years and we’re very thankful to the ADFA for recognising Ian’s contributions to not only our Club, but to football in Aldershot. His service and commitment to our Club is phenomenal and he is massively deserving of the recognition.
