Seats For Soldiers at Shots v Southport

Aldershot Town have donated another 500 tickets to Garrison personnel for this Saturday’s Vanarama Conference fixture against Southport through the new Seats For Soldiers initiative.

The tickets, sponsored by the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA), are distributed free to troops and their families stationed in Aldershot.

The BVCA speaks for the UK’s private equity and venture capital industry in all matters political and regulatory. Its brief is to ensure that all members are able to invest in British companies – from restaurants to hotels and leisure centres – and generate growth and jobs across the country.

This is the fourth Seats For Soldiers event organised by Aldershot Town, following sponsorship with HSBC, Persimmon Homes and National Express. The next Seats For Soldiers event, at Easter Monday’s home fixture against Torquay United, will welcome 600 more Garrison personnel courtesy of sponsorship by United Biscuits.

The Shots were one of the first sporting organisations to sign the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant, to honour and support all past and present members of the British Armed Forces. The principles of the Covenant dictate that no member of the Armed Forces Community should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services, and in some circumstances may receive special treatment.
