PROGRAMME PREVIEW: Eastleigh (H)

For the second week in a row, Aldershot Town are back at the EBB Stadium with the visitors, Eastleigh, and as ever, there’s an edition of Shots’ match day programme to accompany and complement your game day viewing.

Full of all your favourite articles and features. Shots has a picture of Aldershot Town number six Theo Widdrington on the cover and an in-depth interview with academy graduate, Ashley Akpan. Find out just what he did when he was released at age 16 and how a conversation with a friend led him to become involved at Aldershot Town.

Tommy Widdrington and Chairman Shahid Azeem have their regular columns as does captain, Aaron Jones. There are also pages from the Supporters Club where secretary Heather Nicklinson looks at her football mug collection, the Shots Foundation and the marketing department and Trevor Knell is back with his regular look at all things football. Sam Carter previews our visitors, Eastleigh, in detail, Rob Worrall’s Fanzone has some brilliant photos of Shots supporters and in View from the Slab, Nick Cansfield looks at the chances of a conker competition on the south side of the EBB Stadium.

Continuing to reflect on the glories on the 2002-03 season and the huge promotion achieved at the end of that, Journey to the Top of Non-League focuses on two excellent cup wins for the Shots, in October 2002. There’s also two pages of Phoenix Puzzlers to test your brain.

Along with four pages of action from recent Aldershot Town matches, including the FA Cup win over Bath City, the Shots is available to buy from outlets inside the ground. Don’t forget to purchase your copy!
