Poppy Appeal

Aldershot Town fans raised almost £500 for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal at Saturday’s Conference game against Gateshead.

A team of Army Cadets collected £467.56 at the Electrical Services Stadium, and Mick Mills, the Secretary of the Aldershot branch of the Royal British Legion, said: “This is the largest collection at the ground for some years and emphasises the generosity of the Shots’ supporters and their willingness to support the Poppy Appeal.

“Thank you for the hospitality shown to the Army Cadets, I know they all enjoyed the day, and thanks for allowing us to make a collection. Everybody at the Aldershot Royal British Legion wish The Shots well for the rest of the season, and especially against Portsmouth next week.”
