Shots Welcome New Shareholders

Sharaz and Shazad Hussain, of Woking-based construction company Sharaz Homes, have become new shareholders in Aldershot Town FC as part of their work in the local community.

The brothers have between them purchased £50,000 of shares in the Club, with Sharaz Homes continuing to work on housing developments in Ash and along the Surrey-Hampshire border.

“We want to give something back to the communities in which we are working, and as huge football fans we felt that supporting our local football club was the best way to do that,” explained Sharaz. “We have both known Shahid Azeem for many years, through my father Sabir and our family, and through his passion for the Club we have also become supporters of Aldershot Town.”

Shazad said: “We will encourage members of our community to join us in supporting the Club. We have seen the recent work between Aldershot Town and GlucoRx in helping Woking Tigers Football Club purchase new kit and equipment, and our relationships with both Shahid and the commitment from Woking-based company GlucoRx will help us to attract new fans to Aldershot Town from across the border in Surrey.”

“Our aim is to be the most diverse Football Club in the country,” explained Shahid, “and Sharaz and Shazad can be our advocates within their community. They’ve loved coming to the EBB Stadium in the last three years, along with their father, and wanted to be pro-active in their support of the Club. I’ve been trying to convince them to join me in Aldershot for ages, so I’m glad that they’ve finally agreed!”
