We’re pleased to confirm that Olly Scott has signed a new deal with the Shots for the 25/26 season!
Scott joined Aldershot Town in August 2023 after leaving Kings Lynn Town and has gone on to make 51 appearances in red and blue.
Originally joining as a wing back, Scott was moved to the left of the back three and was showing great form until a shoulder injury looked to have ended his season, but made it back to fitness in time to get on for the final stages of our Isuzu FA Trophy win at Wembley.
On signing his new deal, Scott said: “I’m proud to have singed for another year with the club.”
It means a lot to me to continue my journey with a club that’s helped me grow, both on and off the pitch.”
“Getting the chance of playing at Wembley was a special moment and we’ll hopefully have more days like that one. Can’t wait for the season to start, and to play in front of the fans again!”
Tommy Widdrington added: “Olly was very unfortunate to miss a large part of the end of last season but what he showed us before his shoulder injury made it clear we’d like to continue to work with him.”
“He’s committed, honest and I view him as part of the core group of players that I’ve worked with for a couple of years now. His versatility and willingness to do the best for the side wherever he plays has been there for all to see.”
“Let’s also not forget his goal at Stockport County that saw us through to The FA Cup Third Round, which will be remembered by all Shots for some time, I’m sure! I was delighted we could get him on the pitch at Wembley and more so that he’s agreed to commit his immediate future to ATFC.”
