Match Day Operations Update

In an effort to reduce our match day operational costs, the club has recently reviewed our match day event management policy.  Following approval of the revised policy by the Hampshire Safety Advisory Group, we wanted to let our fans know the impact of these changes, ahead of our next home game.

The safety of home and away fans is of paramount importance to the club and we remain committed to ensuring that every one who attends games at the EBB Stadium, feels and is as safe as possible during their visit.

Those fans who came to the recent fans forum, will be aware of the impact the reduction in fans attending our games is having on our bottom line.  We are therefore in a position where we need to review all our costs, including those incurred on match days.

Our new match day event management policy will lead to the closure of a small number of entrances to different areas of the Stadium – entrance E48 (East Terrace), entrance N38 (area between the North Stand & the Community Stand) and the entrance to the South Terrace, by the Hot Shots Café.  Alternative entrances to these areas of the Stadium will remain open and will be clearly identified.

Our review has also enabled us to gain approval for the utilisation of suitably skilled volunteers to fulfil a number of key roles around the Stadium on a match day.  We will soon be in touch with those fans who kindly expressed an interest in volunteering at the club through the recent survey however we would be delighted to hear from anyone else who may be interested in supporting the club by helping out on match days.  If you would like to discuss this further, please contact Club Secretary, Bob Green.
