Lewis Scard has resigned from his position as an Aldershot Town Football Club Director.
Following five years in the position, Lewis felt the time was right to stand down saying: “I will still be at as many matches as I can possibly make.”
“I do not intend to break the line of support starting with my grandfather in the club’s opening season of 1926, continuing with my father and then witnessing my first game – the 8-1 drubbing of Gateshead in 1958!”
Club Chairman Shahid Azeem has thanked Lewis for his efforts over the years and wished him well for the future:
“On behalf of Aldershot Town FC board, we want to thank Lewis for his contributions and we understand that after five years Lewis has other priorities to enjoy in his retirement.”
“We know Lewis will still be available for advice and guidance when needed as he will continue to be in the ELM Centurions Lounge and he will be welcomed back whenever he can make it.”
