Aldershot Town FC are delighted to announce that academy player James Martin has signed a professional contract with ATFC and will go straight out on loan to Bashley FC on an initial one-month loan.
James Martin made his competitive debut for the Shots in their National League Cup match against Southampton Under 21s on Tuesday night, replacing Keane Anderson in the 69th minute.
Academy Manager, Richard Anderson, was delighted for the player: “James is a hugely promising talent who has added value to the B Team in the time he has been with us. It will be a proud moment for James, his family and everyone at the Club to see him take his next steps towards a long and successful career.” He continued: “As everyone saw during the midweek National League Cup fixture, in James we have a young midfielder who plays with composure, intelligence and a maturity beyond his years, and has been nothing short of impressive in both training and matches for us.”
“In signing his deal, James represents a further demonstration of the work being done within the Academy and the pathway we have at the Club; one that gives talented young players the opportunity to develop, learn and ultimately progress into the First Team environment.”
Congratulations James, and we wish him the best of luck on loan at Bashley FC.
