Head Groundsman Colin Wilson is “optimistic” that Saturday’s home match against Hartlepool United at the EBB Stadium will go ahead as planned.
Heavy-duty pitch covers were laid on Saturday and Sunday, with the help of a number of volunteers, and as of Wednesday lunchtime the pitch is playable.
“We all know how good this pitch is, and how well it stands up to inclement weather,” explained Wilson. “I am constantly monitoring the weather forecast and am optimistic that the game will go ahead. Whatever the weather, we will be doing everything we can to ensure that it does.”
Advance tickets are on sale from the Club Shop at the EBB Stadium, along with scarves, hats and gloves to help you stay warm and wear your club colours! The Shop is open 10am-4.30pm Monday to Friday.
