We are delighted to welcome three familiar and long-standing supporters to the EBB Stadium tomorrow as both match and matchball sponsors of our game against Guiseley AFC.
John Hannah, Richard Dowding and Norman Gray – known collectively as Last of the Summer Wine – have been supporting The Shots for over 150 years between them.
Their friendship started around the year 2000 when they were season ticket holders in the North Stand. This friendship has developed and now includes families and friends. If you see one of them, the other two will not be far away!
About four seasons ago they moved from the North Stand to the Patrons Lounge (it’s the prawn sandwiches) and seats in the Directors Box.
Last of the Summer Wine travel to most away games and for a number of seasons travelled with the Shots Away Travel Group, but now travel together by car.
They are active in supporting the Shots Sportmans’ Dinner and Summer Party events, and are also kit sponsors of Gary Waddock and midfielder James Rowe. Recently they have become partners in the new Shots Foundation.
They are very proud and privileged to be sponsoring tomorrow’s match between Aldershot Town v Guiseley AFC.
