Aldershot Town fans Lauren (@_lxurennnn) and Vanessa (@Weeeeeenessiee) will be virtually running from Aldershot Town FC to EVERY team in the National League.
The pair have very kindly offered to do this and everyone at the football club is fully behind them and will support them with their generosity. Please find a full press release from the two below explaining their plan and how you can donate:
“In the current climate, you will know that we are currently unable to attend matches as fans and finances may be low. We both wanted to do something that would keep ourselves active during the pandemic, but thought we could also potentially raise money for the club and Mind.
“The aim is to start each time at the EBB and virtually run to each club in the National League. For example; ATFC – Woking, ATFC – Solihull, ATFC – Hartlepool and so on. We will be splitting the miles in half, so we will both be running over 1300 miles. We anticipate that this will take us roughly 6 months to complete, so we look forward to sharing our progress over the coming months.
“We have already run to Aldershot Town FC from our home, so it’s now time to virtually run to our first group of teams: Woking, Maidenhead, Sutton United, Wealdstone, Boreham Wood, Bromley, Barnet, Eastleigh and Dagenham & Redbridge. This totals our first month at 199.5 miles each!!
