Foundation To Launch Girls Football Project In January

The Shots Foundation has launched a new Sunday morning Girls Football programme starting in January.

Held at St Joseph’s Primary School on Bridge Road in Aldershot from 10-11am every Sunday, the session for girls aged 5-11 runs from 14 January and costs just £2.

The sessions offer regular opportunities to play football and take part in fun and engaging activities created just for girls.  Participants get to learn new skills, meet new friends and have fun.

The sessions are run by qualified coaches who will help participants learn lots of different skills, whether they have kicked a football before or not.

The programme is partly funded by the National League Trust, a charity that offers grant aid to National League clubs to support and develop their community projects, with over £5million distributed so far. This money comes from the Premier League and the Professional Footballers Association, who have committed to support the Trust until 2019. They each contribute to an annual donation of £1.2m.
