Coleman was mustard as Joshua picked up his Player of the Week award at the Aldershot Town Football in the Community holiday course in Fleet last week.
To experience what it’s like to be an Aldershot Town football player, join us at the first-team training ground on Bourley Road from the Tuesday 23 – Thursday 25 August for our penultimate holiday course. Participants will get the opportunity to meet first-team players and management on the Wednesday, and to pick their brains on what it really takes to make it to the top! Bookings can be made via www.aldershottownfitc.co.uk or by contacting us on 01252 339384.
In Fleet, the young Shots were bathed in sunshine for the duration of the week as they learnt new skills and made new friends under the guidance of FA qualified coaches. Children as young as five years-old were welcomed to Oakley Park to participate in training and games designed to develop their ball control, teamwork and, most importantly, their love of the game.
Everyone involved showed great ability as well as willingness to learn and help their peers – all the attributes needed to become an Aldershot Town first team player!
Player of the Week Joshua Coleman (pictured on the right of the group, below) showed these skills in abundance and was a worthy winner of the award. Mother Michelle Coleman said: “Josh and myself would like to thank all the coaches this week for their fantastic work with all the boys! Josh had the best week ever and all the coaches were just amazing. Thank you Aldershot Town FC! Josh can’t wait for the next course.”
The Trust are looking forward to meeting & working with many of the new Shots recruits and other juniors when we return to work on our award-winning schools programme when the children return to school in early September.
The Trust will be running another holiday course during the October half term. To find out more visit the courses section of the Trusts website at www.aldershottownfitc.co.uk.
