Shots Awarded FA Charter Standard Status

Aldershot Town have been awarded the Football Association’s Charter Standard for youth teams in the FA’s 2018 Health Check.

Launched in 2001, the Charter Standard programme is the FA’s accreditation scheme for clubs and leagues which are rigorously adjudged to be well-run and sustainable. In addition it recognises clubs which prioritise child protection, quality coaching and implementation of the Respect programme to ensure that football on and off the pitch continues to be an enjoyable and inclusive experience for all.

As part of the Charter Standard, the FA will continue significant national investment into accredited clubs, to improve coaching standards and maintain an ethos which “upholds values that appeal to players, coaches, officials and supporters… (and) offers a place where everyone can enjoy football”.
