Emma Gregory-Barns Appointed Women’s Assistant Manager

Aldershot Town Football Club can announce that Paul McRae has stepped down from his role as the Senior Women’s Assistant Manager to pursue a managerial position elsewhere. As a result, U16s Manager Emma Gregory-Barns has been appointed to the vacant position.

Emma will be no stranger to anyone involved in the previous, original Aldershot Town Ladies team, having served as a player before it sadly folded in 2015.

“I’m really happy to be back at the club and involved in the Women’s side.” Said Emma. “ATFC Ladies was the first club I played for when I moved to the area before it sadly folded. So to now be involved in the first season of this reformed team is a really special moment for me, and I can’t wait to get started.”

On the appointment, Women’s Manager, Aym’e Melham, said: “I’d like to thank Paul for everything he’s done for the women’s team and wish him the very best going forward.”

Aym’e Continued: “I’m really pleased to have Emma join the coaching team as Assistant Manage – She’s got great experience, energy and a real passion for the game. I’m looking forward to working together as we keep building something special here.”

Congratulations Emma, and the Club wishes you the very best in your new role.
