In late 2011 Albany Dance Academy worked with Aldershot Town FC to set up a Dance Squad to perform at home games. In December 2011 they held two rounds of auditions for the new Cheerleading Squad in conjunction with ATFC. The panel consisted of Albany Principal and squad founder Emma Weir, Head Coach Tashi Fraser and Associate Director of The Shots, Richard Petty. The Cheerleading Squad now performs at home games both pre-match and at half time, Guard of Honour and are involved with the 50/50 draw and cross bar challenge. Their first appearance at the Electrical Services Stadium was on Tuesday 21st August 2012 for Aldershot v Exeter. As well as performing at home games The Hotshots try and get involved with the local community as much as possible, including; United Rushmoor ‘Best of Both’, Princess Hall in conjunction with Street Vibes Dance School and charity events. The Hotshots have an exciting year ahead of them including running Race for Life 2013.

Message From the Girls:

We are The ATFC Hotshots, Aldershot Town FC’s Official Cheerleaders!

We love being involved at the club and performing at The Electrical Services Stadium, the fans are really great and supportive. We have had a great first year and 2013 is looking to be even better! We have Race for Life to train towards and this is really exciting for us as all the hard work goes towards such a good cause.

We would like to thank the fans and the club for all their support and for making us feel so welcome every time we walk on to the pitch. We love supporting and cheering on The Shots and we are already looking forward to next season.

Thank you already to everyone who has supported us in raising money for Cancer Research and to keep up to date with what we get up to ‘Like’ us on Facebook and ‘Follow’ us on Twitter.

Love The Hotshots xx
