The following is a message from Club Chairman Shahid Azeem:
“Now that the season is over, I’d like to invite you to our next Fans Forum.
The event is scheduled to take place at the EBB Lounge on Wednesday, 21st June, at 18:30pm.
As well as hearing from our First-Team Manager Tommy Widdrington about plans for next season, you’ll be able to hear from the board and our development partner, Wates, about our long-term vision for the Club and our progress so far.
As mentioned in previous updates, we’ve been undertaking technical surveys, negotiating with nearby landowners and engaging with stakeholders; and we’re now excited to be able to start sharing our long-term plans with you – starting at the Fans Forum in June.
It’s been a long process to get us to this point and we’ve been fortunate enough to find in Wates a partner willing to assume the risk in exploring what is possible and getting us to a place where we can start to make the changes we need for the long-term success of our Club. Thanks to Wates’ commitment, we’ve been able to lay a lot of the groundwork for the forthcoming development.
Shortly after the Fans Forum, we’ll be launching a new development hub on our website so that you can look at the plans in more detail, stay up to date with progress, and have your say about the work.
This is going to be an important Fans Forum, and I hope to see you there – and at some of our pre-season fixtures over the summer!”
