Over 250 Fans & Players Enjoy Shots Carol Service

Over 250 Shots supporters, players, staff and Directors enjoyed the 17th-annual Aldershot Town Carol Service at Holy Trinity Church last night.

Always one of the highlights of the Club’s year, the service was led by Shots Chaplains Mike Pusey and George Newton, ably assisted by colleagues Linda Scard and Mark McGowan.

Backed by the Alder Valley Brass Band, the Wey Community Gospel Choir led the singing of classic and modern carols and were enthusiastically joined by Gary Waddock’s very vocal squad!

Every player was also presented with a special Aldershot Town-branded edition of the New Testament and Psalms by The Gideons International.

A retiring collection was made in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and The Source Young People’s Cafe, before the congregation enjoyed refreshments including mince pies, mulled wine and sausage rolls, donated by Club sponsors Hi-Speed Couriers, plus Hog’s Back Brewery’s real ale.

Aldershot Town thank everybody at Holy Trinity Church for the warm welcome they again extended to the Club, and to all supporters and well-wishers who enjoyed the evening.
