This evening’s ball sponsor is Pete Hampshire, who has been a member of the EBB Lounge for the last two seasons and celebrated his 85th birthday with us in April last year. Pete, who lives in Farnham, has been supporting the Shots for over 70 years. His favourite games include the FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough in 2011, Sheffield Wednesday in 1988 and the visit of Manchester United to the EBB Stadium. He was a great admirer of Tommy McAnearney, and lists Gary Abbott, Joe Jopling and Alex McGregor – who Pete still sees regularly – amongst his favourite players. He is a great friend and supporter of Gary Waddock and is delighted to see him back at the Club. A regular entrant to the Farnham in Bloom competition, five years ago Pete won the Hanging Baskets category and will once again be entering this year. We wish him luck!
