Aldershot Town hold our bi-monthly Business Leaders Lunch events at the EBB which give businesses in the local area an excellent chance to network, get a fresh perspective from our keynote speakers and get an update from the Leader of the Council, Cllr. David Clifford and the MP for Aldershot, the Rt. Hon. Leo Docherty MP.
As you will all be aware, on the 29th March the UK is set to leave the European Union. Given the current developments with the government plans for leaving the EU, it is highly likely that there will be a great deal of work for our politicians to do in the days preceding this historic date.
Having spoken with Leo Docherty MP, he has confirmed to me that he will be required in parliament on the 22nd of March. In light of this, we feel it is appropriate to postpone our Business Leaders Lunch on the 22nd of March as it will ensure that there no conflict for the Rt. Hon. Leo Docherty MP to fulfil his duties within parliament.
We understand that this may disappoint you, however we feel this is the most appropriate course of action at this point in time. Members will not lose out as they will now be invited to a rearranged event later in the year.
