Aldershot Town and The Shots Trust are delighted to launch a new Boost the Budget campaign for supporters to contribute to Gary Waddock’s playing budget.
Your small contribution can make a big difference to help Gary, and help The Shots continue their superb start to the season. Together, Boost the Budget can make it an even better year and take the Club to a new level.
We only need 250 fans to join the campaign at £10 per month to reach our initial target of £30,000 – potentially the difference between a good and a great season. By committing to this monthly payment, supporters can be directly involved in building a team to challenge for promotion to the Football League.
Boost the Budget is an easy way to increase the funds available to Gary and also increase supporters’ stake in the Club, by helping The Shots Trust buy shares in Aldershot Town FC. Members will also be entered into a regular prize draw.
To join, simply complete the standing order form (downloadable here as a Word document or here as a PDF) or instruct your bank to set up a standing order payable to Aldershot Town Supporters Society Limited, via The Co-Operative Bank, Sort Code 08-92-99 and Account Number 65415070, with ‘BTB’ as the reference.
Alternatively, one-off or periodic donations are greatly appreciated, either by bank transfer or cheques made payable to Aldershot Town Supporters Society Limited.
In addition to supporters’ donations, monies raised from Shots Trust scratch cards, the recent Race Night and Trust Cafe profits will all go towards the target,
All money donated to Boost the Budget will go directly to Waddock’s playing budget, and Gary said: “This is going to be massive for us. We’re looking to push the Club forward and we need all the help and support that we can possibly get. The supporters have been magnificent so far and it will be a huge help to me and my staff if we can continue with our fine form and are able to bring in one or two quality new players to add to our current squad.
“Over the years, the supporters have given superb backing to the Club through the Player Share Fund and now with Boost the Budget we hope that everybody can play their part in creating a very bright future for Aldershot Town.”
