Aldershot To Ascension – Shots Live On BFBS

Whilst Aldershot Town’s FA Cup first round replay against Portsmouth will be watched by millions of people around the world, one particular channel’s coverage will mean just that little bit more to the town which is proud to call itself the Home of the British Army.

BFBS, the British Forces Broadcasting Service, will relay BTSport’s live coverage to Armed Forces stations across the globe, allowing fans to enjoy the match wherever they are currently serving, from The Falklands to Cyprus, and Canada to the Middle East, along with many members of the Royal Navy Fleet sailing the world’s oceans.

The audience will also include some of the 2000 servicemen currently on exercise in Kenya, and aboard RFA Argus anchored off the coast of Sierra Leone, as they deal with the Ebola crisis which is sweeping Africa.

BFBS Television carries the best of UK television around the clock, with fifteen 24-hour channels broadcasting via satellite to personnel in 17 countries, with Navy TV being broadcast to HM Ships.
