PLAYER DEPARTURE: Jack Barham

We can confirm that Jack Barham will be leaving the Club following the expiry of his contract after the striker has agreed a deal with National League South side, Chelmsford City.

Jack was offered a new deal with improved terms but informed the Club of his desire to move closer to home with his family and two young children.

We’re disappointed to see Jack leave but extremely thankful for all of his efforts during his two and a half years with the Shots in which he became a Shots Centurion.

After joining the Shots in March 2023, Jack went on to make 109 appearances and score 29 goals.

His hat-trick in our Emirates FA Cup 7-4 win over Swindon, goal against Woking in the Isuzu FA Trophy Semi-Final and what will prove to be his last goal in the Isuzu FA Trophy Final at Wembley, to name a few, will remain forever in the folklore of our Club and we wish him all the best in the future.

Tommy Widdrington said: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Jack. When fit and available Jack has been a constant in our side and has been pivotal in some very memorable games. His enthusiasm and boyish approach behind the scenes and on the training ground made me smile more than he’ll ever know.”

“Jack will be remembered, quite rightly, in the highest of regards, by everyone here at Aldershot Town. To The Shots fans: Don’t be sad it’s ended, be grateful that it happened!! Go well, Super Jack. You helped make history! ❤️

Thank you for everything, Super Jack ❤️
