Akpan signed professional terms with the Shots in September 2023 having progressed through the Aldershot Town Academy.
He came through the youth ranks at Chelsea and was born in Poland and had a brief spell back in Poland after leaving Chelsea before joining the Shots.
Akpan has been a part of a number of Tommy Widdrington’s matchday squads after impressing in first-team training and during some loan spells last season.
