U21s: Chelsea vs Norwich on Sunday!

Chelsea face Norwich City in a re-arranged Barclays Under 21 Premier League fixture at the Electrical Services Stadium this Sunday.

Originally scheduled to be played at Carrow Road, the game sees The Blues welcome the East Anglian club’s renowned youth academy, now managed by former Falkirk assistant manager Dale Brooks, to Aldershot.

The young Canaries, including five members of the squad which beat Chelsea in the 2013 FA Youth Cup Final, started the season last Friday with a 3-0 defeat against Manchester United, and now face The Blues, who came from behind to beat Manchester City with an injury time winner from substitute Charly Musonda.

Norwich Captain Cameron McGeehan, a Northern Ireland Under 21 international, scored the winner against Aldershot Town during a successful loan spell at Conference Premier champions Luton Town last April. He had previously scored in both legs of the FA Youth Cup Final, against the side who signed him for £80,000 as a 10 year-old!

Winger Jacob Murphy made his first-team debut in an FA Cup tie January, before loan spells at Swindon Town and Southend United. Defender Harry Toffolo is an England Under 19 international, whilst his partner in the back four, former Glasgow Ranger Adel Gafaiti, has experience with the Algerian Under 20 team.

Kick-off is 4pm, with admission £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. Season ticket holders with Aldershot Town, Chelsea and Norwich City can gain free admission on production of their new books.
