Glenn Wilson Leaves The Shots

Aldershot Town have confirmed that defender Glenn Wilson has left the Club at the end of his contract.

The 29 year-old team captain made 48 appearances and scored two goals for The Shots last season after signing from Salisbury City in June 2014.

“Glenn is a player that could come back to this Club,” explained manager Barry Smith. “He was made an offer but he’s got every right to talk to other clubs if he feels that the offer wasn’t enough. Every player has his worth and Glenn might decide that he wants to come back. The door is open at the moment but it’s up to the player to either sign it or turn it down.

“As I’ve said to any player that I’ve offered a contract to, if I get another player who is going to the same job within my budget then I will sign them and that offer will be taken off the table.”

The Club wishes Glenn well for his future career.
