The Group D tie in the Premier League International Cup – a competition featuring the Academies of 12 English teams and 12 elite sides from across Europe – sees Croatia’s most successful club play German’s VfL Wolfsburg, who won the Bundesliga title in 2008-09 and the German Cup in 2015.
The Zagreb teams is likely to feature an array of Croatian youth internationals who may follow in the exalted footsteps of previous Dinamo academy graduates such as Luka Modric, Zvonimir Boban, Robert Prosinecki, Dario Simic and Vedran Corluka.
