Girls Tournament Marks International Women’s Day

A few places remain in Aldershot Town’s International Women’s Day football tournament on Saturday 4 March.

Held from 10am – 12pm at the Connaught School, the 16-team, five-a-side tournament is open to all girls aged 7 to 11, with the final played at the EBB Stadium at half-time as The Shots host Lincoln City. All participants will be invited to attend the game free of charge and fulfil various matchday roles including ballgirls, guard of honour and player escorts.

The tournament is part of the Club’s celebrations for International Women’s Day which also involves half-price admission for all female supporters and a Junior Takeover of the Club for all women under 18.

Ticket prices for all female fans are £9.50 (seating) and £8.50 (terrace) for adults, £7.50 and £6.50 for concessions, and £3.50 and £2.50 for girls aged 11 to 16.

The Junior Takeover will offer vital matchday roles to girls and young women under the age of 18, including Chairwoman, Press Officer, Scoreboard Operator, PA Announcer and Groundswoman.
