Two Depart The Shots

The attacking pair of Shamir Fenelon and Matt Bozier have both left the club after they agreed to the mutual termination of their contracts.

Fenelon joined the Shots in August 2016 and made a total of 102 appearances in his three-year spell scoring 20 times. He was an influential player during the past two seasons where we reached the National League play-offs on consecutive occasions.

But the 24-year old’s last game for the Shots was in the 2-1 defeat to Barrow last month and his last goal came in the 3-3 draw with Bedford Town in the FA Trophy in December.

The former Republic of Ireland U21 international joined the Shots from Crawley Town and has also played for Tonbridge Angels, Torquay United, Rochdale, Tranmere Rovers, Dagenham & Redbridge, Whitehawk and Brighton & Hove Albion where he began his career.

Shots Academy graduate Bozier made three appearances in his breakthrough 2017/18 season. He’s spent time on loan at Leatherhead and AFC Totton.

The 18-year old last played in what turned out to be his only Shots game of 2018/19, in the 3-3 FA Trophy draw against Bedford.

We would like to thank both Shamir and Matt for their services to the club over the past three seasons and wish the pair all the best with their futures.
