Our Vanarama National League fixture away to Torquay United on Saturday 24th August has been chosen for live BT Sport coverage.
The date of the fixture remains unaltered although the game will now kick off at 5:20PM at Torquay’s Plainmoor Stadium.
Shots fans will be familiar of having a televised match down at Torquay. Scott Davies last minute winner in front of the Setanta Sport cameras saw the Shots pull off an emphatic 2-1 away win at their title rivals back in the unforgettable 2007/08 season.
The Gulls recovered from their relegation from the National League to win the National League South last season and Gary Johnson’s men will face Boreham Wood on the opening day of the season and also face Solihull Moors, Bromley, Maidenhead United and Dover Athletic before the televised match against the Shots.
