Aldershot Town have completed the signing of former-Gateshead full-back Robbie Tinkler. He becomes Danny Searle’s eighth summer signing.
The 22-year old defender spent last season at Gateshead where he played in all but one of their 46 league games, scoring twice. He plays primarily at right-back but can also play in midfield and anywhere across the back.
He originally joined the Heed on loan back in the 2017/18, making 17 appearances and becoming a fans favourite, prompting the then Heed boss Steve Watson to sign him last summer following his release from Middlesbrough.
A graduate of the Boro Academy, he failed to make a first-team appearance whilst at the Teessiders and had also spent time out on loan at North Ferriby United whilst they were in the National League North.
