League sponsors Vanarama have been busy assessing the season so far – and what’s to come!
Season’s story so far…
It may be three defeats from four but things should be kept in perspective. Performances have encouraged, and fans will be quick to look at an unkind fixture list with some of the sides tipped to make a big play for promotion already faced. And of course, a derby win over Woking shows what can be done by this group.
From the dugout…
“We always knew this was going to be a work-in-progress” stressed new manager Danny Searle. He also posed the question what may have happened against Bromley on Tuesday with a different man in the middle.
Biggest result so far…
It has to be Woking. It was an energetic, full-hearted derby day display – a result which may not have happened last season.
There’s been a few. Alex Finney and Ethan Chislett have given fans a lot to be confident about.

It’s another hard one, at home to FC Halifax – who have nine points from four games. But how will they react to losing for the first time at Wrexham in midweek?
Their one to watch….
Captain Matty Brown. A menace from set pieces.
Haven’t we met before?
The last match ended in a bore draw at the Shay, but Shots fans will remember the home match last year – a fine 3-0 win.
