Have A Ball With The Shots

Tickets are selling fast for Aldershot Town’s Summer Ball on Saturday 30 May to enjoy all the glitz and glamour of a great night out at the Princes Hall.

Starting at 7pm, dodge the paparazzi as you walk down the red carpet towards the town’s renowned Princes Hall venue and arrive at the pre-dinner drinks reception.

A sumptuous three-course meal will be followed by an evening full of great entertainment, including impressionist and comedian Mike Maguire, street magician Mike Brown, a raffle and auction, plus Aloud Out – one of the area’s best party bands – to help you dance the night away.

Maguire – a star of Britain’s Got Talent in 2012 – rose to fame in 2001 with his impression of Kevin Keegan, which fooled England manager Sven Goran-Eriksson during a telephone call broadcast live on Manchester’s Century Radio. His repertoire also includes Sir Terry Wogan, Sir Trevor Brooking, Sir Alex Ferguson, Morgan Freeman, Frank Bruno, Alan Hansen, Louis Walsh and Nelson Mandela.

Compared to Dynamo and Derren Brown, Mike Brown is a brilliant magician and mentalist whose mind-reading and hypnosis skills, plus close-up magic using coins and cards, have to be seen to be believed.

Keeping you dancing until late will be Aloud Out, a four-piece band whose vast repertoire ranges from The Beatles and The Stones to Madness and The Mavericks, via Blur and, naturally, Girls Aloud.

Dress code is black tie, with guests encouraged to dress to impress. Tickets are great value at £55 so book now to take your place at the glam event of the summer – contact Mark Butler on 01252 320211 or email mark.butler@theshots.co.uk.
