Aldershot Town can confirm the departure of Kit Man Steve Francis who will leave the club to take up an exciting opportunity at Premier League club Chelsea FC.
Steve has been a great servant to the club after originally joining back when the Shots were playing in the Football League and has shown a tremendous amount of hard work behind the scenes and with a fantastic personality.
Shots Chairman Shahid Azeem said: “Steve’s been a fantastic servant to the Aldershot family and he leaves with our best wishes.
“This was an opportunity we couldn’t stand in the way of and we thank him for all his hard work and dedication throughout the years and travelling the length and breadth of the country working for the club.
“Unfortunately we haven’t been able to negotiate a transfer or sell on clause with Chelsea for his departure but he is always welcome back at the EBB Stadium nonetheless!”
