Aldershot Town Club Photographer Ian Morsman has helped to spread a bit more Christmas cheer by donating proceeds from his recent matchball sponsorship to local homeless charity Step By Step.
Morsman has invited bids for the signed ball, from our recent FA Trophy replay against East Thurrock United, which currently stand at £90 – money which will allow three homeless people to enjoy shelter and hot food over the festive period.
It costs just over £28 per person for Step By Step to provide a warm, safe bed for the night, a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, and an introduction to their year-round services from welcoming staff, to help continue people’s journey in learning new skills and gaining employment.
Step By Step works across Hampshire, Surrey and West Berkshire, a region in which well over 2000 young people are regularly sleeping rough. The charity provides accommodation, specialist support services, training and employment opportunities to 16-24 year olds facing homelessness and other difficulties in their lives.
