Magician Stephen Simmons makes a welcome return to the Club next Saturday, 4 June, as part of Aldershot Town’s Summer Party at the Princes Hall.
Simmons was one of the stars of last year’s Party, and now his amazing close-up magic and mind-reading joins comedian Ian Irving and pop-rock-soul covers band The Cobbles in creating one of the best nights of the year.
This black tie event starts at 7pm and, with dancing until late, is the perfect way to enjoy a long summer evening in style.
Arriving for a drinks reception, you will then sit down to a delicious three-course dinner, followed by one of the best comedians and after-dinner speakers on the circuit, Ian Irving, and live music from explosive four-piece band The Cobbles, bringing the best disco, pop, funk, rock and soul hits from as far back as the 50s!
In a 30-year career which began with an appearance on Cilla Black’s Surprise Surprise, Ian has also been a finalist in TV talent show New Faces, been a warm-up act for many of television’s biggest names, and performed alongside legends such as Dame Vera Lynn, Lionel Richie, Bob Monkhouse and Lee Evans. On the after-dinner circuit, he has appeared with sporting luminaries including Sir Bobby Charlton, Sir Alex Ferguson, Usain Bolt, Seve Ballesteros, Sir Henry Cooper, and Brian Clough. Simmons’ sleight-of-hand has led one mystified customer to declare “I believe in magic because of you”, whilst another enthused: “He blew everyone’s minds! Many people were left speechless with a bewildered grin”. Watch his audience’s reactions here, or visit his YouTube channel.
