Are you interested in playing for the Shots?
In the past two seasons, Aldershot Town has seen six of its Academy graduates make their First Team debuts, and there will be no fewer than 5 former Shots Academy players in the First Team squad next season.
On top of this we have had at least one player in each of the England Schoolboys and England Independent Schoolboys International squads for the past 3 seasons. If you are young and aspiring footballer, Aldershot Town is fast becoming the place to be!
Our Academy are looking for high-level aspiring young footballers who are keen to represent the red and blue for the 2024-2025 season and are holding open trials over the next few months.
These trials will be for our Foundation (under 9 to under 12) Academy teams, our under 13s, our Girls Academy (under 15 to under 18) teams, all of whom will be playing on Saturdays for the coming season. In addition to this we are also recruiting further for our under 18 College Programme, which is a full-time football and education programme. We are not at this time seeking to recruit for our under 14s to under 16s at this time.
We are inviting boys and girls to register for the trials we will be holding across the following dates:
Monday 15th July: Under 18s Boys College Programme Trials, 5:00pm-6:15pm
Monday 22nd July: Under 13s Boys Academy Trials, 5:00pm-6:30pm
Monday 22nd July: Under 15 to Under 18s Girls Academy Trials, 5:00pm-6:30pm
Friday 26th July: Under 9s to Under 12s Boys Academy Trials, 5:00pm-6:30pm
Wednesday 12th August: Under 18s Boys College Programme Trials, 2:30pm-4:00pm
All of the trial events in July will be taking place at Merrist Wood College, Worpelsdon, Guildford, GU3 3PE. The grass pitches are located to the right of the main building, with registration taking place at the pavilion. The trial event on Wednesday 12th August will be taking place at Samuel Cody, Chaucer Road, Farnborough, GU14 8SS.
The trials event will consist of a warm up and technical work, before moving into match play. The sessions will also be inclusive of goalkeepers, with time allotted during the session for goalkeeper exercises, alongside outfield practices.
