Aldershot Town have signed defender Alex Finney from National League rivals Maidstone United on a free transfer.
The towering centre-back joins on an 18-month deal and has played 24 times for the Stones this season in all competitions.
Born in Huddersfield, Finney started his career at Leyton Orient before moving to Championship club Bolton Wanderers in 2014 where he made three appearances.
He joined Queen’s Park Rangers in 2016 but failed to make an appearance for the West London club and he was loaned out to Maidstone for the 2017/18 season before joining them permanently this summer.
Finney goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game against Wrexham.
