Shots Sign Pavey

Aldershot Town have signed 20 year-old striker Alfie Pavey on a 28-day loan from Millwall.

Pavey has made six substitute appearances for The Lions this season, having made his debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers in May 2015. Last season, he also played three games with Barnet in a loan spell during September and October 2014.

Millwall had signed Pavey from Maidstone United in 2013 after scoring over 300 goals in three years in The Stones’ youth team. He then signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract with Millwall in December 2014 to extend his stay at The New Den until the summer of 2017.

“Alfie is a striker with a good pedigree who comes highly-recommended to us,” said manager Barry Smith. “He’s received good coaching at Millwall and was wanted by a number of National League clubs during this transfer window, so I’m delighted that he has chosen Aldershot Town for the next stage in his development.”

Pavey will wear shirt number 20 and is available for selection as The Shots host Chester in the Vanarama National League on Saturday.
