Shots Partner With Mental Health Service

Aldershot Town are pleased to announce a new partnership with TalkPlus a Mental Health Service offered to the people of Rushmoor and Farnham.

They offer free NHS Therapy sessions to assist with a range of common mental health problems, you can either self-refer or be referred through your GP.

Speaking on the partnership TalkPlus said: “We are delighted to be working alongside Aldershot Town Football club to support people within our community.

“We are the local NHS talking therapies service for Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet and Farnham who support people with common mental health difficulties such as stress, anxiety and depression.

“We are looking forward to building a partnership and to get people back on the right track with their mental health as well as enjoying watching the local team in action. Your mental health matters.”

They offer free therapy for anyone aged 16 and over who are registered to surgeries in Farnborough, Fleet, Aldershot, Yateley, Blackwater, Church Crookham and Farnham.

Shots Marketing Officer Andrew Ellery said: “The club are delighted to work with TalkPlus. We really hope this partnership can benefit our local community.

“We hope that by seeing this it will encourage any supporter or member of our community that there is a service out there that can offer help whenever they need it.”

The club are working with TalkPlus in arranging a future game where they will offer their free service to our supporters.
