Aldershot Town have offered season ticket holders at local Premier League and Championship clubs the chance to watch a match on their doorstep during the international break this weekend.
This introductory offer, which allows adults to purchase a terrace ticket to the Bristol Rovers game for just £10 on production of their season ticket book, hopes to attract new supporters to the Electrical Services Stadium. Similar schemes have been successfully implemented at other non-League clubs and aims to showcase Aldershot Town FC to supporters who may then consider watching The Shots more regularly in future. Already the Club are aware of fans coming from as far afield as North Wales to take advantage of this offer.
Commercial Manager, Mark Butler, said: “We raised this idea at last week’s Fans Forum and it was received very positively. The international break is a perfect opportunity for Aldershot Town to reach out to new supporters and convince them that we are a great option for them to get their football fix, either when their team isn’t playing or they have a long-distance away fixture.
“The atmosphere at the Electrical Services Stadium is a huge part of why we love the Club, and with a big crowd already expected on Saturday, for the visit of Bristol Rovers, we hope that new supporters will enjoy the passion and quality of the Vanarama Conference.”
