Searle Joins The Shots

Aldershot Town are delighted to announce the arrival of Danny Searle as First Team Manager. Searle joins from Braintree Town where he managed the Iron for the second half of last season.

Searle’s took his first steps into management in January where he took over a Braintree side at the bottom of the National League table. In his sixteen games at the club they won six and drew one, which included wins over the Play-Off finalists Salford City and AFC Fylde and a 0-0 draw at Champions Leyton Orient on the final day of the season.

Braintree’s upturn in form wasn’t enough to keep them in the division and they were relegated along with the Shots, however Searle leaves Braintree as a popular figure amongst Iron fans.

Searle had originally joined Braintree as Assistant Manager to Hakan Heyrettin and before that had coached in the Academies of Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Southend United and lastly at West Ham United where he worked as Head of Coaching.

The 41-year old earned his UEFA Pro Licence this year and brings a fountain of coaching knowledge and fresh ideas to the club. Everybody at Aldershot Town is looking forward to this new chapter.
